When we first moved to Kirton we were registered with Dr Smith at Central Surgery. When I beecame pregnant in 1977 I was trannsferred to Dr Davenport who was very helpful with my pregnancies and childcare. When i asked him when i should bring thr children to see him, he replied whenever i was concerned about thsm.
Years later when my father died i went with my mother for something to help her through the funeral. He wasn't her doctor but was so kind and as we left she said "aren't you a lovely doctor". Indeed he was, and i'm sad to hear of his death.
